We've just been given new information about an interesting twist to mortgages:  a nationally known mortgage company is offering to include a Job Loss Protection Package and a Homeowners Warranty to new customers.  There is actually an option here:  new borrowers can choose 2 years of job loss protection or 1 year of job loss protection and 1 year of home warranty protection.

This is a household "name" mortgage company wanting to generate new business and is has just rolled out this new incentive / promotional program.

There is a new kind of Home Warranty coming to market - with added benefits which help you stay in your home if you become Unemployed.  Unemployment benefits are limited ($3000 to $4000 maximum), but if you're buying a home and getting a Home Warranty as part of the transaction, you'll want to know about these versions.
